[Suggestion] Cancel the add reminder button, and redesign the bottom toolbar

Open AI-IMED opened this issue 2 years ago • 6 comments

For me, I do not see any justification for the existence of a separate button to add alerts, because it is present as an option in the note options, in addition to that it will be one of the options in the withdrawal procedures for the note in the future, as you mentioned.

Instead, I would suggest redesigning the note's bottom toolbar, and providing an option that allows the user to control what note options appear in the bottom toolbar.

The following picture shows the idea, as for how to implement the idea and the shape of the new bottom bar, it's up to you :).

You can close the proposal if you think it does not fit the application.

This has my vote, too.

This issue has been slightly resolved in 2.2.1. The thing is, I tried adding more functionality to the bottom bar, but it started looking more messy, and would create some confusion.

Most note apps, use the bottom app bar for Markdown, which would make sense. But, I don't see that applies for quick actions.

Let me know your thoughts.

Hmm.. maybe more mature ideas will come after I see the markdown in the bar :), the important thing right now is to get rid of the separate create reminders button👍

Wouldn't it create inconsistencies, don't you think?
