OK ill pull the ES stuff out into a separate library for now.

As mentioned [here](https://github.com/AppMetrics/InfluxDB/issues/27#issuecomment-371466045) not sure I want to take the dependency. Does the benefit outweigh taking on the dependency i.e. worth users of App Metrics dealing with potential version conflicts...

The ES reporter has fallen behind since breaking changes in ES were introduced. I'm struggling to maintain all reporters on my own outside the those I use myself in production....

There are signaficant changes in ES 6, more discussion [here](https://github.com/AppMetrics/Elasticsearch/issues/23). Sorry, docs should specify the supported version, I'll have a look at that. At the moment I don't have capacity...

2.0.0 is an alpha release, yes as mentioned [here](https://github.com/AppMetrics/Elasticsearch/pull/21#issuecomment-363066850) Grafana support needs some work. I'm not using ES / Grafana for metrics myself so this is low on my list...

Ah yes sorry, ES6 will not work with Grafana the way things are now unfortunately.

I've been using InfluxDB for a couple of years now with Grafana. Grafana have recent released https://grafana.com/cloud/metrics which I'm starting to look at.

The elasticsearch reporter is somewhat out of date, an update is coming soon. Are you using the same version of the `App.Metrics` package?

It's not abandoned I just haven't had capacity. I'll try getting to it this weekend. I don't have plans in the short term though to update supporting the lasted version...
