Add line numbering options

Google doc's auto line numbering doesn't work after formatting. Please add options for line numbering, or make it compatible.

Hi. I wasn't aware Docs had built-in line numbering. Can you explain how to activate it or post an example?

it's triggered after starting numbering a line. for example 1. followed by a space.. If I trigger numbering, and paste raw code. docs finds new lines and automatically numbers them. like that..

but after formatting, may be, it takes whole block as one line.

I would also love this feature. The "build-in line numbering" @SymonSaroar proposed looks like an enumeration, not line numbering.
