I know Apple Silicon has only just come out but a fix would be appreciated.

I think It's not compatible with Big Sur.

It's because it's 32-bit, I think.

Use this version — works on my M1.

@conformist1 oh nice one, why is there alternative version tho? just for bit versioning?

PrimulaX avatar Jan 29 '21 21:01 PrimulaX

@PrimulaX Likely because support for this repo of Spek has ceased and others have taken the torch!

conformist1 avatar Jan 29 '21 21:01 conformist1

@conformist1 yes, looks like no one activity maintaining it anymore, and as author says it had been broken since one of the commit

@conformist1 Thank you so much. I really appreciate that.

I added an updated beta package of macOS for the latest release. Try it out and let me know if anything is off: https://github.com/alexkay/spek/releases/tag/v0.8.5

@alexkay its working so far. just one problem with default language, it can't get it from system.

PrimulaX avatar Feb 07 '23 09:02 PrimulaX

I cannot open the new version after downloading the DMG. I just get 'MacOS cannot verify that this app is not malware.'

@PrimulaX, same issue as #269 or you don't see the error? Could you include your Language and Region settings?

@JasonNewton1, this is expected until the package is signed. You can bypass this, see https://news.trendmicro.com/2021/12/16/how-to-fix-macos-cannot-verify-that-this-app-is-free-from-malware-error/

PrimulaX avatar Feb 07 '23 20:02 PrimulaX
