Connection to Service Failed Error

Without any major change I can think of, today bitshelter started throwing this error. I only noticed there was something wrong when I opened bitshelter, I think it would be better if it gave a warning when it has this error so that I know I can fix it. If I hadn't tried to restore a backup today I might not have noticed. Any ideas what could have caused it?

Was your BitShelter service stopped ?

Had the same error about a week ago, but ascribed it to a user profile migration that I undertook a while ago. The service was not running and manual start did not work either. I ended up uninstalling BitShelter and deleting the C:\ProgramData\BitShelter folder.
