Hello, I am using the sync part of this crate and I find it very useful for keeping IO code simple.

I am going to to fork the crate so that it has the appearance of being maintained. I want to remove the async parts because these are part of tokio now @alexcrichton if you read this and my plans seem logical to you, I would be happy to have the crate transferred to me instead of forking it.
