Crash to desktop when asking Sulik about weapons

Hi guys! This is my very first issue written to GitHub.

In Klamath, I do the quest to rescue Smiley the trapper, and I chose to have Sulik freed as the reward. After I recruit Sulik in to my party, I ask him what weapons he can use, but then fallout2-ce crashes instantly to my KDE Plasma desktop. This has happened two times now since I discovered this project yesterday.

I launch fallout2-ce from my terminal emulator (Konsole, in my case), and after this crash I'm left with the following messages, which I think might be relevant:

Heap Warning: Could not allocate block of 419412 bytes.
*** buffer overflow detected ***: terminated 
fish: Job 1, './fallout2-ce' terminated by signal SIGABRT (Abort)

System info:

Running Arch Linux with the Zen kernel.
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Silver N5000 CPU inside a Acer Cubi N
4 GB RAM.

Let me know if there is any more info you want about my setup, I'll be happy to provide. I have basic knowledge of how git works and I hope there is anything I can do to help fix this issue.

Would it be useful if I attach a save-game file here?

Definitely a save-game archive and a list of mods (if any) that you have installed.

I believe sfall is the only active mod, because my changes in ddraw.ini takes effect. But, I could be wrong because I copied the "Fallout 2" folder from a folder on my file-server after I found this project and tweaked the configuration files to skip the intro-videos and set the display resolution. I have therefore included fallout2-folder-filelist.txt generated from ls -alhR in the root of the Fallout 2 folder.

Perhaps I should get a fresh copy from Steam?

Also attached, is talk-to-sulik-about-weapons.zip as requested. I've set things up so all you need to do to reproduce this crash, is to talk to Sulik, ask him about his gear, and then ask about what weapons he can use.

I recommend to copy Fallout2-ce binary into a clean folder, then only copy fallout2.cfg, master.dat and critter.dat (and maybe patch000.dat if you got it), and test it this way. If you want more modern F2 you can try latest UPU, but it may not work. So far this project was made to support vanilla F2, and all major Russian TC mods (Nevada, Olympus). Other mods may not work due to a lot of sfall functionality not being implemented.
