how to make it support Chinese vewsion?

hello: i try to make it support chinese version, thn i make debug for it. and i found the engine seems uncompress game data in some way , i try to find what different in game dat file current log info is : Error: Loading critter name message file: game\scrname.msg but how can i get file list? and can u tell me how can i uncompress game data manully?
