[M1 Mac and Wineskin] Screen centered at 0, 0 instead of being top left

Open Gammer0909 opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

When I downloaded the game on an Apple M1 mac, I was not able to figure out how I am supposed to use the Apple install (any help on that would be great, I'm sure it doesn't have this issue), however when I ran the fallout-ce.exe with a Wineskin wrapper, It centers the screen by the top left pixel, meaning half the screen is unseeable.

Any help on this would be great!

Can you explain more clearly what you are having trouble with for the native install?

https://github.com/alexbatalov/fallout1-ce#macos outlines it pretty clearly but I would be happy to help or improve the docs where possible.

The native install lacks documentation if I don't have a Macplay/Omni Group install. I was completely lost trying to use a GOG install as a base, and I had to install it on a Wineskin wrapper.

You just need the datafiles, if you have the gog installer for fallout you can extract them with something like http://www.macsourceports.com/utility/extractor and then place them in the correct locations.

as you already have it installed via wine you can also just take the specified data files from there and move them to where the instructions indicate.

if you have the data files in Applications/Fallout then all you need to do is download the mac launcher and place it in the fallout folder, then you can launch it as you would any mac application.
