@nemec do you know the current status on the stable? I have some time to spend on this project right now and I'm really keen to fix the remaining bugs...

Joining this issue since I experience the same thing. The one second delay before i can start typing is rather jarring compared to other plugins that do the same thing...

I tried this as well and it does feel faster. But I really wish I figured out a way to _measure_ it properly. But I do believe one key difference...
