Failed while connecting to upstream

I'm getting *1 connect() failed (111: Connection refused) while connecting to upstream when hitting the proxy from a public ip.

E.g. http://public_ip/api fails Though http://public_ip gives 404

Hi, without any other information I can't really help you. If you try to reach the endpoint internally, you get the same response?
