Exporting as a png adds an alpha channel

Using kubuntu 18.04 Gimp 2.10 BIMP 2.4
As the title. You get an alpha channel whether you want one or not. Happens in BIMP 1.18 as well.

Same here. Latest Linux Mint, Gimp, Bimp. The channel adds 5% to the file size. I am back to converting by hand.
