unfortunately I don't have a windows machine. Could you compare the difference between the windows/jupyter environments?
what do you mean by running via the python interpreter? so, I'm glad that it works in some cases, that tells us there is a way for it to work....
could you post a minimal reproducible example script? and show us how you call it?
