How do I try to authenticate with Spotify again?

Open JeffreyPauletto opened this issue 6 years ago • 4 comments

The first time I tried to authenticate with Spotify, it failed, and I have the "Toastify has no Access Token!" red circle in the settings by "Enable Spotify WebAPI". I want to try and authenticate again, but I don't see any way to get that to happen. Suggestions?

Such a feature exists but unfortunately I forgot to expose it to the user after the changes in v1.11.1. The only way to perform the authentication again is to go to %LocalAppData%\Toastify and remove the file named spotify-token.sec.

Removing that file worked - thanks!

I have finally gotten my own spotify instead of sharing with my wife. So I had toastify connected to her account already.

Didn't find any de-auth option in toastify so some googling I found this issue.

I think having an option in the app to remove the token would be nice.

You can simply login to her spotify account on Spotify.com and got to https://www.spotify.com/account/apps/ You can deauthorize single apps, connected to that account, there.
