Duplicate .PKG installations

Open Cza102282 opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

Hello,

When I enable the "Toggle external gameDATA", and then use the Package Manager on the XMB, the .pkg file data is being installed in both:

/dev_usb001/GAMEI /dev_hdd0/game/

For internal hard drive storage reasons, I would like to only have it install in the external HD. Previously, I was using the a gameData utility from PS Brewology on Rebug firmware to switch over to external HD to XMB and it was working as expected (only installing to external).

I did just recently upgrade to EvilNat CFW 4.89 so that definitely could be the root cause but I cannot find any current bug info on that so I would like to start here. Thx!

When you enable "Toggle external gameDATA", the folder /dev_hdd0/game is redirected to /dev_usb001/GAMEI

If you check /dev_hdd0/game it actually is seeing /dev_usb001/GAMEI. Any disk space is consumed in the internal HDD except for the XMB index information or savedata.

If you restart the system or disable the external gameDATA, the content that you installed on GAMEI will not be available or appear as corrupted unless you enable the external gameDATA again.

If you still experience the issue, I recommend you that downgrade to Evilnat 4.88.2. I have noticed some severe bugs remapping paths in Evilnat 4.89 that forced me to remove some features lately.
