ISO decrypt not working

Open iewl opened this issue 1 month ago • 1 comments

I've been trying all night to play a PS3 ISO file. I did not know if i downloaded a usa or eu version, so i got both .dkey's.

I've tried decrypting them with ./ps3netsrv /path/to/.isofile, with the .dkey in the same folder. i did not get an error but when starting the game it said 80010017.

Then i tried just running the game with the .dkey files in the folder, cause i read the decryption can happen automatically. In the console it seems to be working, but i still get the same error on my ps3 screen.

What could be going on? Is there a way to see output or logs from ps3netsrv? I only see this:

`Host IP #1: 10.0.0.10:38008 Waiting for client... [0] Connection from 10.0.0.179 open dir /GAMES open dir /PS3ISO open dir /PS2ISO key: /mnt/media/games/ps3/PS3ISO/Batman - Arkham City GOTY - us.dkey Redump key found. open /PS3ISO/Batman - Arkham City GOTY - us.iso key: /mnt/media/games/ps3/PS3ISO/Batman - Arkham City GOTY - eu.dkey Redump key found. open /PS3ISO/Batman - Arkham City GOTY - eu.iso

There isn't a log file for the dkey files, because it is not necessary. ps3netsrv will read the requested sectors and apply the decryption key when it's necessary.

The error 80010017 can be by different causes. Mainly the dkey doesn't look the correct one for the version of the ISO.

You need to check in the intenral PARAM.SFO of the ISO what is the TITLE ID and APP_VER and download the appropriate dkey.

Or even create a decrypted ISO dump of the physical disc using multiMAN or IRISMAN.

If you're downloading pirated games from the Internet, I cannot provide further support.
