PHPStan passing isn't really a requirement, more of a guide / nice-to-have. But I'm fine with waiting till after your test session(s) before merging this PR.

How did you define your source repositories?
Honestly, I am not sure what would be necessary to implement this change. Also, it would have to be configurable, since otherwise it could be considered a BC breaking change....
Could be interesting. But Satis is mostly maintained and updated by its users. Composer as an organisation does not spend a whole lot of time on it. We will accept...
