How could I add support for a new image file type ?

I saw that PSD files are supported, and a preview is generated. I am looking to add support to files exported via Krita (https://krita.org/fr/).

I would like to know how can I make phraseanet recognize this media type, and how can I make it use the CLI version of Krita to generate previews.
