how we can use --share M/N switch to divide a bit range in parts?

Assalam O Alaikum (Hi) how wecan use --share M/N switch to divide a bit range in parts? like we are working on this range -r 800000000000000000000000000000:ffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff and we want to start from 50% of this Bit range, then how we will start ? i saw this option in Bitcrack, its very useful can we use this is on my this keyhunt?

--share M/N Divide the keyspace into N equal sized shares, process the Mth share --stride NUMBER Increment by NUMBER
