feature suggestion: provide a default alarm sound
After installing the application, one has to configure it to use a certain sound file to be played when an alarm goes off. It would be nice if the app came with a default alarm sound file, so it would be fully functional immediately after installation.
I have v0.3.2 of the app.

(by teemu-leisti) I just read the review at http://www.linuxinsider.com/story/72116.html, which says that the app does come with four default sound files, so the lack of a default sound must be specific to my environment. I'm using Xubuntu v12.04, with the XFCE desktop environment v4.8. I've installed all the updates to date.
(by mikemcculley) The 4 default sounds, glass.ogg, drip.ogg et al, come with the operating system. Alarm Clock could find them in Mint 10 but can not find them in Mint 13. It would be useful to know where Alarm Clock is looking for sound so I can create that path.
(by joh) I agree, it would be nice with some better stock sounds to ship with Alarm Clock. In fact, there's already a blueprint for it here: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/alarm-clock/+spec/better-sounds
By default, Alarm Clock will look for sounds in /usr/share/sounds/gnome/default/alerts
(by pascal-devuyst) Package: alarm-clock-applet Version: 0.3.3-1
I needed to install the following package to get the default sounds: sudo apt-get --no-install-recommends install gnome-control-center-data
The alarm-clock-applet package should depend on that or better provide default alarm sound(s).
(by pascal-devuyst) Please raise importance!
thanks joh this sudo apt-get --no-install-recommends install gnome-control-center-data
worked with me thanks you
