IMO always clearing the selection is probably fine.
Some users may look upon this as a feature; a way to quickly open/show a browser window of the default search engine. Just sayin. If it bothers _you_, I'd suggest...
I'm fairly confident the author of Notepad++ will also agree this is "a feature, not a bug to me". :-)
Problem still present in 3.0.19. @chcg - What was the point in releasing 3.0.19 without a fix for such a huge bug?
Seems to be solved in 3.0.20. Great work!
