[BUG]: Unify corner node & augmentation patch padding

Describe the bug

Not a bug per se, but the corner node patch padding & patch augmentation at train time are not identical. The corner node patch gets centred and "wrapped up by padding" - it loses it's original positional information. This should be looked at at some point...
