Possibility to always leave the sidebar visible

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I'm always frustrated when the sidebar (left) disappears after clicking anywhere else than the sidebar. It then always needs an additional click (or key stroke M). Also I'd like to keep this overview on the left.

Describe the solution you'd like A default setting to make the sidebar permanently shown.

Describe alternatives you've considered A pin button on the sidebar itself to keep it shown. But users might be confused with the actual pin feature. The icon can also be a lock showed locked/unlocked to see if the sidebar stays or not.
