Upgrade to newer version of ngx-admin

Does exist any way to upgrade from version 4.0.1 to the latest without problems with my current code?

I am using version 4.2.1 and want to upgrade latest version.

To my knowledge, the short answer is no. What i do in my projects is create a new directory that holds all my code and make only a few adjustments to make that code work in new versions of NGX-Admin. So everytime i decide to upgrade NGX-Admin, i copy my code, make a few adjustments to NGX-Admin and we are up and running again.
