Documentation & Software Update
So Maypole is shipping,
are there any updates software/documentation wise?
Any quickstart tips/schematics?
cheers max
Just got my Maypole today. So how do I use it? When I plug it into my computer, it doesn't show up as a drive. There is no AP created either.
@akshar001 any updates?
@eboston @mstaack i am putting documentation tomorrow, schematics is already out there https://github.com/akshar001/Maypole_PCB
keep this issue open until we make perfect documentation.
Hello guys, so here is the video
https://youtu.be/VvWGthyjWB8
We still are working on some info, hope it helps!
Thanks @akshar001 thats a start, but i really need information on how to upload my own code/software and do some hacking.
thanks max
We shall update this repo, give you a latest firmware all you need to do is, install dependent library and compile code on it and upload!
@akshar001 sound great, please update this repo :)
Ok.
@mstaack uploaded latest code also uploaded some instructions, let me know if you can't compile it or need anyhelp
thanks @akshar001
which board did you select? i am using latest arduino with esp32 boards url from espressif.
and how do you set the maypole into programming mode?
cheers max
Select esp32 dev module only. We have put the TTL logic inside, so just connect all the programmer pins to maypole ( if you don't have maypole with programmer ) and hit upload button!
Ah okay, thought it's programmable by usb. Sure I have a spare arduino uno with which I will try to use as a programmer.
Thanks
You have a maypole with programmer or without one?
without one, but i also have serial converters and some more programmers laying around.
i expect maypoles pins to be 3,3v right?
cheers
@mstaack sorry for replying late, have you get it working, maypoles pins are 3.3V for USB to Serial please use FTDI and run at 3.3V.
You will need to connect DTR, RTS, TX and RX that's it,
of-course 3.3V and GND
