Just got my Maypole today. So how do I use it? When I plug it into my computer, it doesn't show up as a drive. There is no AP created either.

Thanks @akshar001 thats a start, but i really need information on how to upload my own code/software and do some hacking.

thanks max

We shall update this repo, give you a latest firmware all you need to do is, install dependent library and compile code on it and upload!

@akshar001 sound great, please update this repo :)

mstaack avatar Oct 19 '21 12:10 mstaack

akshar001 avatar Oct 19 '21 13:10 akshar001

akshar001 avatar Oct 20 '21 12:10 akshar001

thanks @akshar001

which board did you select? i am using latest arduino with esp32 boards url from espressif.

and how do you set the maypole into programming mode?

cheers max

mstaack avatar Oct 20 '21 16:10 mstaack

Select esp32 dev module only. We have put the TTL logic inside, so just connect all the programmer pins to maypole ( if you don't have maypole with programmer ) and hit upload button!

akshar001 avatar Oct 20 '21 16:10 akshar001

Ah okay, thought it's programmable by usb. Sure I have a spare arduino uno with which I will try to use as a programmer.

Thanks

mstaack avatar Oct 20 '21 17:10 mstaack

You have a maypole with programmer or without one?

akshar001 avatar Oct 20 '21 17:10 akshar001

without one, but i also have serial converters and some more programmers laying around.

i expect maypoles pins to be 3,3v right?

cheers

mstaack avatar Oct 20 '21 17:10 mstaack

@mstaack sorry for replying late, have you get it working, maypoles pins are 3.3V for USB to Serial please use FTDI and run at 3.3V.

You will need to connect DTR, RTS, TX and RX that's it,

of-course 3.3V and GND
