Is it possible to remove Lua JIT dependency?

I'd like to sysbench my RISC-V machine. But Lua JIT has not been ported yet and seems like they are not very interested in porting it. Looks like Lua JIT dependency limits the list of supported architectures for sysbench. Is it possible to remove Lua JIT dependency?
