Feature Request: use original file line numbers in diff

The diff feature opens a temporary text file with its own line numbers. I thought it might be nice to replace those line numbers with the actual line numbers from the original file we are diffing. I understand each diff block contains an indication of where in the original file it comes from, but this is hard to use with long diff blocks...
