Move Friends Following / Followers to ActivityPub Plugin?

Hi Alex!

This is just a brief inquiry, given the ongoing work being done with the ActivityPub plugin over the past few releases. Given that the ActivityPub plugin now has native, built-in support for representing followers and following, does it make sense to migrate the Friends plugin over to leverage the ActivityPub plugin's utilities?

I ask because we're using both the Friends plugin and the ActivityPub plugin. We have a number of Actors that we follow through Friends, that aren't currently represented natively in the ActivityPub Following collection.

It would be great if the ActivityPub functionality in Friends could natively lean on the ActivityPub plugin's own capabilities.

Yes, it is planned and I had already started the work in https://github.com/akirk/friends/pull/552/files#diff-10ea9ce5837c62bfdcea1734bd65e65b17982022c6a6304b8d78ae809cb9d549R583-R590

At the time there were some details not implemented in ActivityPub yet which I think are fine now, I hope to find a long enough stretch of undisturbed time soon to ship it.
