The backgound is updated only to the 80th column

Hi, I'm running vterm under Ubuntu 18.04 and emacs 27.2. I got the issue that the color setup is set/refreshed until the 80 column (here an mc example, guess 'vterm-min-window-width). Is there a setup or workaround to fix this issue?
