feature request: more integration between shell mode and vterm
Hello,
I usually start with a shell buffer, then I realise I would like to switch to vterm mode. Would this be possible?
Also I use alt-p a lot out of habit from shell mode, but this doesnt give me the previous input in vterm. Would this be possible?
Thanks for vterm mode, it is a great emacs term implementation!
Re: M-n, M-p
I just use a very simple workaround that when I press M-n/p I'll send C-n/p instead (which in bash/fish navigates the history).
Obviously that's not ideal but a good enough hack for me since I normally don't have to press M-n/p elsewhere.
See my config.
