SKU Changes , it needs to be updated in Magento2, but it creating the new product

I am doing SKU changes in Akeneo, but it is creating a new product in Magento2. I would like to update the old SKU with New SKU instead of creating a new product.

@sureshsdckap The SKU is the identifier so it will see it as a new product, delete the old products in Magento or change the SKU in Magento on the products that has got new SKU.
