Interesting. I have a Mac somewhere and I'll try to reproduce this locally.
I can reproduce this with VTK 9.2.4 on Linux. It's annoying and I'll fix it.
No updates here in PyVista. Issue is tracked by VTK in https://gitlab.kitware.com/vtk/vtk/-/issues/18652
I fully agree with this; we're going to have to figure out how to send over the state of the shell elements and then enable this within our VTK plotter....

Found out the issue, wrong `nvidia` driver on ~this node~ all nodes(!). Cordoning and restarting. Job should start soon.
It's running. Keeping this open to remind myself to configure a cron job to restart after NVIDIA driver upgrades.
