Is this still the case for you? If so could you name some android clients? My last tests with [Moon+](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flyersoft.moonreader) and [Librera](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.foobnix.pdf.reader) seemed to work.
