Hi, is this happening upon integrating for the first time or did it start doing it suddenly? Pi-Hole beta v6 just opened and the API isn't compatible anymore, this may be the issue. otherwise, make sure that the internal address is only composed of "http://ip:port", remove anything after that, meaning the "/admin/index.php". this may also happen if you have not entered the correct API key.

I am having the exact same issue (new setup). I have my Ad Guard on SSL ONLY, therefore: https://dns.mydomain.tld/ set to REQUIRE SSL. For all other scenarios this server works 100%. I can log into it normally with the username & password (from inside my network and outside) and it works perfectly as my DNS server on IPv4 & IPv6. Eventhough I have configured the useranme & password in Homarr correctly, when using a Private Browser, it does not log me in. This is therefore the reason why the Widget does not work. Why is the login not working when I am using SSL ONLY.
