[New Category Request] AI video label
I don't know if it's inline with SB's list of todos. But labeling AI videos on their thumbnails is so so needed right now. The amount of AI videos is just insane. They are so annoying and a waste of time that I wish all AI videos thumbnails are labeled so we can know to skip them.
It's rejected https://wiki.sponsor.ajay.app/w/FAQ/New_categories
Stupid rejection :v
I personally think this would be better as a separate extension (like DeArrow), but excluding it on the grounds that it's "subjective" and "hard to moderate" doesn't make sense.
SponsorBlock already makes subjective choices for the user. Skip to Highlight will often times skip most of a video to a summery at the end basically selecting what is worth watching. Is that bad? No, I use it all the time, and probably most other SB users do too, but that doesn't make it any less subjective.
DeArrow is the same. Its users can replace whole video titles according to the rule-book. Still open to interpretation, but it's functional because the community follows the rules.
Most channels that use AI have exclusively AI generated videos, and in the majority of those cases, it's pretty noticeable. You would not even need to moderate the subjective channels to remove like 95% of the problematic content. Users can still choose what to click on and watch, the only thing that changes is the curated information given to them.
An easy way to make this more accurate would to be just set up a reporting threshold that changes depending a variety of factors like the channels subscriber count.
Yes, rejection is dumb. All other rejections make sense except for this.
Upvoted, this would be awesome actually, I can't believe I never thought of this before! There is nothing out there to do this, so @ajayyy should seize the opportunity to be the first, just like he did with SponsorBlock.
