Thank you for the report! This is similar to #2748 and #2833. Can you give me the code that causes this?

It looks like you've tried to install it via "Tools => Manage plug-ins", but it's not a Thonny plug-in. You need to use "Tools => Manage packages".

I now tried MicroPython 1.20.0 and could not reproduce this problem anymore. Assuming it was MicroPython's issue, which is now fixed.

I'll try to make it happen in the next major version.
