AIP 71: Dynamic contributors rewards
Summary
This AIP proposes to create a “dynamic pool” for contributors, the pool will increase or decrease if there are more or less contributors during a month. There will be a max cap defined. Those rewards would still be taken from the treasury. As for today, the rewards pool for contributor has been set for 30k$ / month
- Create a dynamic pool for contributors
- Create sub pool for Delivery team and tech team
- Increase the budget of the contributors
Specification
AirSwap currently provides $30K of $AST to the contributors pool. In order to dynamically adjust the contributors' rewards , we want to create a Global Pool with a hard cap per month. Two sub pools will be also created for the Delivery/Direction team and Development/Design team. The repartition will be handle like this :
- 60% of the rewards for the developer team
- 40% of the rewards for the delivery team
However, this would theoretically require more $AST from the Treasury. By having this dynamic pool, we will be able to get more contributors and reward it more fairly (from a treasury point of vue and from a product point of vue)
We propose this dynamic rewards:
- Between 15-20 contributors : 30k$
- Between 21-25 contributors : 35k$
- Between 26-30 contributors : 40k$
Rationale
We believe that a suitable amount of rewards should help us bring more contributors and accelerate our development. We also believe that the treasury management is also sensitive, that is why we propose this dynamic pool.
