Splash screen on iOS

We have been trying recently to add the infamuous "LaunchScreen.storyboardc" to our iOS app, and we can only get a white screen on iOS 12.5.7. On iOS 16 show up ok, but not on old ios version. Are we missing something here @ajwfrost ? Thanks a lot!

Have you found a solution to this? Trying to rebuild an app that had a launchscreen previously and it's just not coming up. Even when I copy the LaunchScreen file from another app.
