I think this is caused by kernel update. You have 3 options to get around this problem:

1. Downgrade your kernel to 6.0
2. Wait for #225 or #226 to be merged
3. (Temporarily) use dan-bolsun/rtl8188eus or gglluukk/rtl8188eus

I am also having this same complier issue; I tried both the patches (gglluukk + dan-bolsun) & tried on kernals 6.0.12 & 6.1.23

Hey man,

My solution was that Uninstalled libre Debian bullseye I installed Armaian Ubuntu Jammy. It worked like normal after.

This was all on a le potato
