[Command Bug] Username conversion on stats command

Open Menteroth opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Complete these first

  • [x] I confirm that I am the owner of the bot running Adventure.
  • [x] I confirm that I have not modified the source code of Adventure.
  • [] I'm an Adventure user but not the bot owner.
  • [x] I confirm that I have checked the issue tracker and a this bug hasn't been reported already.

Command name

stats

Expected Behavior

Show stats of specified user.

Current Behavior

Version: 3.4.3.2 The user had an old account they forgot password on and made a new Discord account. Both have same username. They had joined Adventure before this and when we try to check stats of this user it shows the old one. We have to use stats username#0000 to see stats of the new account. Couldn't find anything about deleting a user completely from Adventure.

Context (Environment)

Can't check stats with just name. We also need tag as in name#0000.

Images below.

  1. Clearing the old account and still shows up.
  2. New account that is being used.

This is not a bug, the original user still a user for the bot in question. That being said there is slight improvement that can be done here Union[discord.Member, discord.User] this will prioritise guild members over global users as it is right now though it's working exactly as designed

Ah okay. I guess it could be nice to be able to delete a user if that is a feature that will work. Thanks for clearing that up anyway.
