Ok to set it up at the beginning, but then never change it (i.e., always use generic) otherwise participants get confused

but if participants fall behind, or mess something up, I think it might be good to have an archive ready which contains all the correct nodes etc they will require for each section

it also makes it easier to test each section in isolation: this is what I did for the data section

The different sections / hands-on sessions should indeed be executable without needing anything from the others, so participants can always just rejoin in case they have fallen behind. Will open a separate issue to test this.
