Mac os 10.15.2 Python 3.7.7

Other people have also replied that the GUI does not show on Mac/Windows... (You can still use the live FFT features in headless mode though, just set the visualize flag to False)

I have no idea how to fix this since I'm running Ubuntu, but if somebody finds a fix, please post it here so we can help everyone else, I'd love to make this work cross-platform!

@shaohongwu this problem is because of your pygame version - did you try to install the recent development branch?

pip3 install pygame==2.0.0.dev4 should ideally help fix it.

but my problem is after i change the pygame version, nothing even comes (pygame just keeps on loading)

I could get it to work on MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 by installing pygame following the official guide.

wow @vlievin for me the irony is other games were working but this one! Let me try this! what's the pygame version you've got?

it works finally

python 3.7.7 from official Python site (not the one that comes with Mac / homebrew) pygame 1.9.6

I am using python from my main virtualenv with:

python 3.7.4 (default, Aug 13 2019, 15:17:50) pygame==1.9.5.dev0 numpy==1.17.2 sounddevice==0.3.15
