Other people have also replied that the GUI does not show on Mac/Windows... (You can still use the live FFT features in headless mode though, just set the visualize flag to False)
I have no idea how to fix this since I'm running Ubuntu, but if somebody finds a fix, please post it here so we can help everyone else, I'd love to make this work cross-platform!
@shaohongwu this problem is because of your pygame version - did you try to install the recent development branch?
pip3 install pygame==2.0.0.dev4
should ideally help fix it.
but my problem is after i change the pygame version, nothing even comes (pygame just keeps on loading)
I could get it to work on MacOS Catalina 10.15.4 by installing pygame following the official guide.
wow @vlievin for me the irony is other games were working but this one! Let me try this! what's the pygame version you've got?
and @vlievin did you test this within a virtual env or sys wide?
it works finally
python 3.7.7
from official Python site (not the one that comes with Mac / homebrew)
pygame 1.9.6
I am using python from my main virtualenv with:
python 3.7.4 (default, Aug 13 2019, 15:17:50)
pygame==1.9.5.dev0
numpy==1.17.2
sounddevice==0.3.15
Hello, I'm testing on my computer and I get this error“Input sound settings for device None and samplerate None Hz not supported, using defaults...”How to add my own device?
