[BUG] Auto-Update Not Functioning
Describe the bug / 描述问题 I noticed that my ChatALL is running an outdated version and has never been updated to the latest version.
- OS and version: Windows 11
- ChatALL version: 1.18.11
Network / 网络 No VPN or proxy
Additional context / 其它相关信息 According to the Updating Applications | Electron page, it seems that the ChatALL build is not code-signed, prevents the application from updating automatically.
Upon clicking ChatALL-1.26.27-win-x64.exe, Windows displays the dialog shown below when application is not code-signed, as mentioned in this answer
Just run anyway.
I'm know it's not a big deal, but the repository releases updates frequently.
I need to manually checking, downloading, and installing new version.
Just hope the updater works so I can skip this process because I don't want to miss out on any new feature haha. 🤣
Thank you for your dedication in consistent releasing new features.
Run ChatALL, a few seconds later the auto-update will pop up if you have a stable connection with GitHub. Have you never got this?
its the same with me

I have seen that dialog before, it seems like this issue is specific to Windows.
OK, I will try to bypass all the system security checking.
The code signing certificates is too expensive to afford for me.....
This is all the donation I have got through https://ko-fi.com/sunner
Sorry guys......
Sorry @sunner, I did not know that code signing cert require annual fee.
Closed as workaround https://github.com/sunner/ChatALL/pull/212, user receive notification to update manually.
