[Question]: one window with two separate panels ?

Is there an option to open the same PDF as two separate copies in the same window? I know we have Smart Jump and Overview, but for some books, these two options don’t function correctly.

And sometimes I want to read two different parts of the same textbook at the same time for an extended period. I can open two separate windows for the same pdf, but i prefer to open two copies in the same window.

Thank you for your help.

What is the benefit of opening two copies in the same window over opening two windows of the same document?

For me, it might be helpful to open multiple instances of Sioyek, as it reduces the number of windows and keeps the same PDF file within a single window. This would improve the experience of locating a document and possibly save time from resizing windows.

But this is just my guess. Thank you for considering it.

p.s. My English is not good, i use gpt to make my expressions better.

you can use Portals for that purpose. In the opened portal window you can navigate. See for more details here:
