It is not exactly what you have described but we have added ability to move the window using middle mouse button in the development branch.
Can't reproduce the issue on my systems. Maybe this is an issue with KDE plasma?

I unfortunately don't have a wayland machine to test it right now, maybe someone else with wayland can help?
Are the keys.config and prefs.config file next to the executable?
As a workaround you can just use the full path for now.
