best option for microphone

Hello all, Firstly wanted to say thx for this amazing work for LEDFX - so much FUN with my new WLED set-up.

My set-up - WLED SOUND REACTIVE to 300 LEDs Sound source - my main speakers in Living Room LEDFX running on my laptop Microphone from my laptop.

Mostly works well - just wondered if we can capture sound better than the default laptop microphone on WIN10.

I read that stereo mix would be better - but I did have it and was not working, followed a guide that I needed to update the drivers and now Stereo Mix is no longer an option even when asking to look for disabled options..

I then read about VB Audio would be good to replace Stereo Mix, I have installed the drivers, rebooted, but yet the green bar only seems to move on the default WIN10 mic.

I tried to look how to use VB Audio - but unable to find a guide with LEDfx and have no idea if possible to improve audio capture, if any, to use LEDFX from my laptop.

Any advice or hints would be much appreciated.

I’d recommend you join and ask the LedFx discord. Someone there will definitely be able to help you!
