Possible to make it RPi GPIO standalone or make RPi send leds through wifi

Hello I found in an old thread #76 that had the same issue as me. Is it possible to make it RPi standalone so make my leds use wifi with the GPIO pins? So I can connect to to LedFx. Does anyone an idea. I don't wanna use a esp8266 because I want a bias/ audio leds so I also will install hyperion on my pi. Thanks in advance!
