Reading German ID Cards doesn't work.

Thats because recent (cant say from what year) German IDs require EAC (Extended Access Control) to read even basic data.

Chip authentication failed (Chinese passport)

Chip Authentication is a cloning detection mechanism which is not supported by all passports. Some NFC chips dont support because its not a mandatory requirement by ICAO 9303.
