migrate to your solution from a synology already added to an on-prem active directory

Hello, I found your solution very clean and I wanted to implement it. The problem is that the NAS is already joined to an on-prem active directory and is actively used for network share. Is it possible to use both at the same time ? Then when the wrapper is fully fonctionnal, just remove the on-prem AD join ? Thanks for the help

As far as I know a NAS can only join one solution, maybe the synology support can help you with it. If you only want to run the container on the NAS and join it later, that should be no problem if the ldap-server port is not used yet.

You are right, as the port should be not "open" if you join the NAS to active directory. Will try like this then, in disaster recovery, I can still "re-join" the NAS to the on-prem AD, do you think I will lose something doing it ?

The users could have different uid numbers, so maybe they will loose access to the files and their home folders.
