For anyone reading this, unfortunately this PR likely won't get merged, as per the recent readme update (https://github.com/aguingand/tiptap-markdown/commit/9a5c69db1cd2762a0f193cb2907eec9ef596a35c)

If this is not a big deal to you, it might be best to wait for the official markdown support in TipTap 3.x. But if you need this fix ASAP (like I did) you may consider using this fork that I've made with @nekoya's fix. Just replace tiptap-markdown with @yunger/tiptap-markdown
